Swords Castle is conveniently located a short 6-minute walk from the hotel. The castle was built for the first Anglo Norman Archbishop of Dublin, John Comyn in 1200.
The castle is open Monday until Saturday 9.30 am – 4 pm. We recommend a guided tour to learn all about the history of this beautiful building and enjoy a walk the stunning grounds and surroundings. Well worth a visit when staying with us.

Malahide Castle

This 12th Century Castle is a must see when in North County Dublin. Take a stroll around Malahide Castle’s beautiful ornamental gardens that cover over 22 acres and are home to thousands of different species of plants and flowers.
The castle is full of artefacts dating back 800 years and the tour is a wonderful experience you won’t forget! It opens all year round from Monday to Sunday 9.30 am – 5.30 pm.

Portmarnock & Malahide Beaches

If you fancy a great coastal trail, you can follow the coastline from Portmarnock to Malahide and afterwards enjoy food and a well-deserved drink in one of the lovely pubs and restaurants in Malahide village.
If it is more of a relaxed walk you are after, then take a breath of fresh air on Malahide or Portmarnock’s sandy beach.
